The German reunification in 1990 was followed by the total collapse of the eastern state-run industry. Even if most of that was created during the GDR period, a large percentage of factories and industrial plants belonged to the end of the 19th century. By traveling around in medium and small -sized centers it's easy to find yourself in front of these beautiful ruins, untouched by the post-war development and (partially) survived to the "westernization". An impressive atlas of central European manufacturing architectures that recalls ancient prosperous times.
